New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) warned on Wednesday that the BBC and other media outlets cannot justify "economic offences" by using free speech.
According to Amit Malviya, head of the BJP's information technology department, the British broadcaster is under investigation for possible tax avoidance by underreporting income.
According to him, in order for the BBC to legally broadcast in India, it must follow Indian legislation.—Input from Agencies
